Good luck. Took me about a month to find 8' fence boards here in Alabama.
My suggestion is to order them from Lowe's or Home Depot and have them shipped to the store.
And hope they'll set aside your pieces before they just set them out and someone else buys all of them.
However, you will get stuck with the first X number of pieces that you want that the guy collects. And that can be risky, since many pieces there are garbage and you really need to personally cull through them

I’m confused - Lowe’s almost always has a giant supply of 6’ fence boards. Am I missing something? Lowe’s in Gonzales has over 2,500 in stock.

Fix to this is to over order, then return whatever you do not use. When I did my fence, we had to return around 50 boards w/ most of them being trash. HD took them back without hesitation.

I got 500 6'dog-eared pickets from Blanchard's Building Materials (Plaquemine) about a month ago. Ordered and delivered the same day. Not sure how far out the deliver though.

Well that certainly explains why most of the open "bundles" are just crap.

You really do have to cull the bad wood out of Home Depot and Lowes stacks. I do a lot of projects and spend a good bit of time finding straight lumber or lumber that isn't loaded with knots when I shop at their outlets.

And there's no guarantee when buying treated as it is so wet in the store that when it dries, it can be prone to twists and warpage, especially if in direct sunlight when used on a project.
