The FFP issues with the Neymar and Mbappe purchases are not permanent, we’re entering a new 3 year cycle by which FFP is measured. Won’t be able to splash that kind of cash but will be able to buy good players.

The amount of the fee paid carries over accounting wise over the length of their contract. It’s basically added onto their salary on the books until it’s been fully accumulated.

If a club did it as a lump sum almost every side would fail FFP.

ETA: wait, idk about Neymar since he was a release clause. Doesn’t he basically not count since he paid it himself?

It counts but it was a lump sum payment. Mbappe was heavily front loaded if not also a lump sum IIRC.

Liverpool chiefs are among a group of American owners in English football’s top flight who pushed the Premier League to join UEFA in investigating allegations of financial cheating by Manchester City.

On Thursday UEFA announced that they are investigating the English champions after the publication of leaked documents that point to possible breaches of Financial Fair Play regulations.

And on Friday the Premier League confirmed they are also investigating, issuing a statement explaining they had asked City for information while having an ongoing dialogue with the club.

Pep will be at City for a lot longer than people think.

He can become a club legend and has full reign. I would be shocked if he left.

I was just joking... I just started seeing mentions of this all over my twitter feed when I posted..

You'd know way better than me on the subject, but if he didn't stay at his club (Barcelona) that long... I'd be hard pressed to see him as a very long term City guy... just a casual, outsiders opinion..

If they get four years out of him that’s all you can really ask for

He wants to take on new challenges

Apparently the guy who broke the Ronaldo news is saying that Pep has already verbally agreed to take over at Juve at the end of the season.

Would be shocked.

The Middle Eastern Oil Barons are horrible for every sport as owners.

Real Sociedad may never recover from their Sheik

Fake arse sponsorships from Sheik relatives

Bribes to FIFA/EUFA from Oil Barons

And they still can't kiss That CL trophy

Pep flat out denied the rumors today. Said that he isn’t going anywhere unless he’s sacked and hinted that he may even tack one more year onto his stay.
