What's a good bang for the buck gun safe?

Tractor Supply sells the Cannon brand and their sales knock em down several hundred dollars. Keep a Golden Rod warmer unit in there and stack those gums.

hidden is better than secure. Can't steal what they don't know is there. I'm toying with the idea of a hidden "safe" between studs in the closet.

All the safe's listed here are pretty good/damn good safes.
When you dig around and get to the bottom of your search, you will find that in reality, there are only a handful of manufacturers that truly "make" safes. Most of the other brands you see out there are made by these 3-4 companies and slap their label on it.
The home A/C market is very similar. Only a few companies make the actual compressor inside, but sell to all the manufacturers.

After watching some reviews on YouTube and reading up on a few articles I decided I really couldn’t afford a true safe. I ended up with a stack-on from sams just because it was the best bang for the buck at the time.
If you watch you can catch some sales at academy or tractor supply.
Make sure you buy double the size you need unless you are storing single shot crack barrels, because the number stated on the safe will not hold the amount listed unless you just shove them all in!!!

Most people should be concerned about the smash-and-grab burgler. I think thats like 95% of all thieves.

Knock on front door to see if anyone is home and have some BS story ready if there is someone.
If no one is home then check if front door is locked and if it is then go around to less visible side of house. Start checking for unlocked windows/doors.
Open window or smash it to unlock then open.
Hurry inside and for 2-3min you have to search for shite to steal. Go to master bedroom first and look inside closet for guns.
2-3min are up then haul arse with what ever your arms can carry.
Even if alarm went off you still have time to grab shite before someone figures out that it isn't a false alarm like the other 37 times it went off in the past couple years.

I got a Cannon from academy for Christmas, 60 I think. It was their cheaper line with 3 pins. I mostly want to keep my kids out and make in inconvenient for a burglar.
Gotta keep them gummy little fingers outta my stuff.
ETA, they can all be broken into, and for the most part, none of them will truly keep your guns safe in a house fire.
I DID see that Cannon will insure them for loss if something does happen.

I have a 30 gun that we filled up in a few years. The right side can be retrofitted and made to hold another 30 or so guns. Right now it’s shelving like you would see in a pantry. That being said I wish would have gotten one that holds 60+ guns.

"Gun Storage Solutions" has "Rifle Rods" that will allow you to in crease the capacity of your safe. I use them and they work great. They also have some hand gun devices.

I always look at that one when it goes on sale but have yet to pull the trigger... I want to go by Mike Ward's too and see if some of the scratch and dents might be worth it or if they are pretty much full price.

Liberty, buy twice the size you think you need. Long barrel shotguns have to be in slots out from under shelving and scoped rifles can't be in slots along walls and often intrude on the row behind them, ARs with scopes and protruding mags often occupy the rows in front and back of the firearm as well. Then once you accommodate all this you want some easy access spots for your frequently used guns.

That safe isn’t waterproof or fireproof. Kind of false advertising. No safe you buy in big box is “fireproof”. That safe is sheet metal with cheap fiberboard for insulation. Your guns may last 20 minutes at 800 degrees.
