Granted, the ESPN selection show team isn’t the committee, but I believe they answered your question on tonight’s show...for those that didn’t watch:
OhioSt and LSU are in the playoff, regardless of win/loss this Saturday.

To me, even with a loss, LSU unequivocally will have a top 4 resume. But there will surely be some pushback to put in a one loss conference champ over them if they lose, and when you’re talking about this committee’s “thinking process,” nothing is guaranteed.

How quickly y’all forget.
In 2011, several folks said they would vote LSU as #1 regardless of the game because it would be a head to head split with LSU winning on the road. Then the game happened and that thought was crazy because LSU lost.
They all will say osu and LSU are in regardless until one loses. Then. More thought will happen and recency bias will take over.

because LSU lost

If any of top 3 lose they should not be in. We are looking for champions not the best team. If you want best team expand the tournament to ensure best team wins

Nah you just think champions and best team mean same thing. They don’t. You’ve been classically conditionied to think that by CFB elitists.
