We can all thank Kirby Hocutt for changing the rules

Remember when Long said a championship meant something? That’s why if tOSU or LSU lose they should be out. But oh well I’ll get off soapbox

Why isn’t the one with best players or best NFL prospects the best? You can’t truly define it.

I’ve always believed conference champs should get in over runner ups.

With schedules being almost totally different untouched can’t definitively say who is better. I’ve never liked eye test.

The best team doesn’t always win the title. If you slip up, too bad.

I would never trust my fate at the hands of a committee

Another of life’s great mysteries we will never know the answer to.

To OP, LSU is in no matter what. Even with like a 17 pt loss.

That's just not true. If Oklahoma or Utah absolutely blows out Baylor or Oregon, it's entirely possibly they jump over LSU, putting them at 5.

OSU
Clemson
UGA
Utah/Oklahoma

Utah hasn’t beaten a single ranked team yet. Their best win is either 7-5 Washington or Cal.

In what world so they have a decent strength of schedule?

LSU is in as long as they don't get boatraced.

We learned that lesson with Chokelahoma getting stomped by Kansas State the last game of the year and then laying a turd against LSU in the BCS game.

No committee is putting a team in that looks like shite the last game of the year. This committee has shown week by week it's what have you done for me lately?

If this was Jeff Long’s CFP Committee I’d agree there would be no question LSU would still get in with the “complete body of work” evaluation. With this committee though, I have my doubts they would do the right thing.

Undefeated OSU
Undefeated Clemson
12-1 Georgia (SEC Champ)
12-1 Oklahoma or Baylor (Big 12 Champ)
12-1 Utah (Pac-12 Champ)

12-1 LSU (SEC runner up)

No way LSU makes the playoff if they lose this game.

Look at the resumes. Utah and OU would be left in the cold

Oklahoma lost to Kansas State by 28 in 2003 and was still in.
