I need some for my low carb cravings. Jerry Lee's doesn't make it any more, and last time I tried Ronnie's on Florida it was terrible. Is there anywhere else local?

That new Hebert's Specialty Meats on Jefferson Hwy (across from Kolache Kitchen) probably sells them

Try Ronnie’s again.

They’re usually good.

If you do go by Bergeron's try those smoked chicken and pepper jack cheese bites, that they have in the hot case.

I've heard good things but never tried them.

Also cracklin is a yankee term for gratons.

Chicken cracklings at Bergeron’s. Hwy 415 or by Cabela’s. Game changer

Well Boudreaux I’ll reel you what. I don’t know what Yankees call Them and I don’t really care. Every Cajun meat market I’ve been to from Houma to Lake Chuck calls them cracklings. Guess every one of them is owned by some guy from Michigan.

If you can bring yourself to eat them when offered under the wrong nomenclature, yes they are legit.

It's just a joke, shite. Somebody needs to chase their gratons with some Xanax.

I haven’t had these in a while and don’t know the name of the place -headed out of BR towards Nola in I10, first Denham Springs exit, take a right and there’s a gas station on right, next tot the exit. Some dude makes cracklings on Fridays and they sell them at the counter. They’ve only ever had them on fridays.

They’re so fricking good, last time I stopped, I bought 4 bags and ate them all on the way home. Cured my craving, apparently permanently, hence why it’s been a couple years since I stopped and got them.

On the west wide of the river (Mississippi River), you got Bergeron's. On the east side of the river (Amite River), you got Days in Watson.

I agree that Ronnie's has dropped significantly in quality lately. I tried the gratons at Hebert's Meats near Walker (NOT the same people as Hebert's Specialty Meats on Jefferson) and they are worse than Ronnie's. Hebert's on Jefferson does not make them. I haven't had them from Chris's, in fact I went there about a year ago looking for them and the guy told me they only made them at one of their stores in New Orleans. Guess I'll have to try again.

Yeah, can I have a do-over?

It's the Speedy Junction on LA 22 right off 10, across from McDonalds, Sorrento exit.

I don't do well in the mornings. Needed to check the map once I got to work.

Are you kidding? They have people here who get offended by Bergerons wrapping a Ribeye in bacon and stuffing it with cream cheese!! I'm a fricking hoot compared to those guys.
