Spieth played just looked like a complete moron on that hole

Just double bogeyed 7 to move back to -9
A double and a single bogey thru 7

It seems like of all the players, no one is more in their head right now than Spieth and maybe Fowler in majors. They just can’t figure it out

He needs to change something. It’s clear he is still not comfortable. He used to be hunting down birdies, now it’s like he is surviving. The shots are still there. He just needs to get it together.

He needs to get rid of that chicken wing left arm he's got. Only other guy that looks like that at impact is Lee Westwood. And he's a hack too.
So does Brookes koepka?

Not all swings look alike. What exactly do you mean by “chicken wing?”
Nicklaus always allowed his left elbow to move away from his body during the backswing.
Victor Hovland or is it Matthew Wolfe the other Oklahoma State rookie? has an unorthodox move.
At impact, they seem to be square and down the line.

I may be in the minority, but I think his problems are more between the ears than they are with his swing.
At the tour level, that's all it ever is. He didn't just forget how to play.
My wife's uncle helps host amateur events in Raleigh and plays rounds with them sometimes. He said these amateurs have all the skill to play on the pro tour, they just don't have the mindset yet.
Just like us kinda.. can't tell you how many times I've screwed up a shot and then drop a ball for the heck of it to try again, and that 2nd shot is always good.

Who knows if he ever wins again. The golf world is littered with guys who achieved greatness then quickly fell of the planet. I love Spieth but putting 4 good rounds together is not happening right now. My advise, get a new coach and please hit the weight room hard. His arms are waifish.

I would agree with both of these. Thankfully he scrambled together a good round yesterday to move him back to 44 in the fed ex cup, but he needed some long par putts to do it.

Dude dabbles too much in Uptown Dallas. If you've been around that area, you know what I mean.
It's between the ears, specifically his nose.

Dump coach, call Butch, shut up, play golf like you are enjoying yourself! He is a basket case now! Don't need to hear your commentary after every shot!!

According to Spieth, he’s put in more hours this year than he ever has and still...
That's one of the things that makes golf so frickey. You can't force it to happen. You have the find the problem and fix it organically, letting it come together.

A stronger left hand would do wonders.
