It looks nothing like the ad. Not even close. It's like me posting a picture of Brad Pitt as myself on a dating app. You will be disappointed. But if you give it a chance you might like it. But probably not.

It's an obvious copy of the Jack in the Box taco.

And like Jack in the Box, it looks like shite, but tasty.

The shell has a nice crunch, yet is greasy. It's flat as a pancake with some sort of seasoned "meat" inside with chunky lettuce and grated cheddar cheese. It comes with a pack of taco sauce.
Price: A dollar.
I give 4 out of 5 stars for cheap, tasty, shitty tacos.

My guess is it comes frozen with the meat in the center and they toss it in the deep fat fryer for a minute to reheat the meat and crisp the shell. Then BK employees add the chunky arse lettuce and sprinkle it with cheddar cheese.

Many would agree with you. They are disgustingly delectable.

BK tacos are $1 each.

2 tacos + $.99 Jumbo Jack was the shite.
Jumbo Jacks are almost $3 now.

Their value menu is still one of the best though.

I love jack n the box tacos.

I use 6 packets of their hot sauce per each taco. I usually eat 6 tacos at a time.

Do they really deep fry the shell and meat together?

Isn't that what Jack in the Box does?

EDIT: Yep, according to the Wall Street Journal

A tortilla wrapped around a beef filling that is dunked in a fryer and topped with American cheese, lettuce and hot sauce, the taco appeared on the menu in the 1950s after the first Jack in the Box opened in San Diego. As the chain spread beyond California, the taco has followed it —with good reason. Jack in the Box now sells more tacos than any other item on its menu thanks to a legion of fans who swear by the greasy vessels even as they sometimes struggle to understand their appeal.

Every Jack in the Box taco is born at one of three plants in Texas and Kansas, where tortillas made from stone-ground white corn are cut, cooked and filled with the beef mixture. They are shrink-wrapped and frozen and eventually shipped to stores to be fried, topped and served in taco-sized bags. The company sells 554 million tacos a year, or about 1,055 a minute.

That is about the same number of Big Macs McDonald’s says it sold in the U.S. in 2007, the last time it says it tracked that figure.

Just had 3 of the BK tacos.

Good, unhealthy fried tacos. Will do again.
