It passed to halt it, then was immediately vetoed.
But Trump will likely veto the resolution soon.

Not surprised. The thing most despised by a libertarian is a monarchy.
Yeah... but Congress is an oppressive oligarchy, so I think he loses sight of the big picture on this one.

Mike Lee is a RINO ??? Probably one of the most conservative in the US Senate. The term RINO has just jumped the shark.

All in all, it's just another brick in the wall.

Paul’s voting record is clear evidence that he is anything BUT a fraud. You may not agree with him, but he’s not faking it.

The only one i don't get being on that list is Mike Lee.

The interesting issue is a vote on veto. Assume for the sake of argument that enough Senators indicate a willingness to override the veto. (Yes, unlikely).
Does McConnell prevent a vote, or does he let the vote happen?
Why are we assuming that Trump can veto a resolution? He can veto a law, but why would he have veto power over a resolution?

Looks like Trump can veto. Interesting to give veto power over a resolution about overreach of presidential power, but that’s how it is.

quote:None of them were actual emergencies. In a perfect world, Senators or Congressmen would have sought a resolution to void them, but we do not live in a perfect world. Each Obama NEA Declaration dealt with a reasonably-uncontroversial issue, and politicians do not make waves in opposition to uncontroversial actions.
