Well seeing as how Derozen is better than any laker starter not named Lebron, Derozen and Poetl

I love this call, if we can pull this off we're 1) healthy, and 2) back to playoff contender status.

Honestly I would happy with 6-6, which still gives us a good shot at making the playoffs, anything more is amazing!

That said 5-0 and the Indy game is a sellout with the Super Bowl champions New Orleans Saints sitting court side is gonna happen.

Bump.

1-1 so far. Assuming a loss at the Warriors on Wednesday, I think the 3 games after that are tough, but winnable.

The one thing like about the Warriors matchup is that they don't have a super try-hard, able to score big. That kills this team. See: Harrell last night, the bigs on Boston who had career nights, and numerous other examples.

AD works so hard on offense that he takes plays off on D and Randle is a mess on that end. Bigs have career games. Not too worried about that against the Warriors. Also, hoping for a triple OT game at Denver tonight, so maybe they rest one or two guys

Yeah, need lots of minutes tonight out of KD/Curry etc.

You know AD is going to be in supernova mode. Need our 3-ball to fall and we have a punchers chance.

at Minny
at LAC
at GS W
at Port W
at Mem L
vs. Det W
at OKC L
vs SA W
at Hou L
vs Den W
at SA W
vs Indy W

We have had many heated games with GSW, this can be the statement game for AD to propel us going on a tear throughout the rest of the season. We lose to GSW, I can see us losing 3 more games instead.

Beating the Warriors and losing to Memphis would be a very Pels thing to do.

I tried to be realistic. We normally lose the games we should win and win the games we should lose

If you are right, and they somehow go 7-3, then they will for sure be buyers at the deadline. I see 3-2 or 4-1 for the 5 games before the break. 10-5 from now to the break. 31-28 at the break means they probably need to go something like 15-8 post ASB. Very possible with the right trades. My question just continues to be: Who in the West falls off?

I don't believe in Sacto. I think its 10 teams for 8 spots, with NOLA and the Lakers as the two teams currently not in as ones who have a shot. And if Lebron comes back, Lakers are getting in. So, who are the two current teams that will fall out?

With teams as presently constituted, the only change from the current standings IMO is Clippers out and Lakers in. I don't see any of the other 7 current playoff teams not being in.

The idea is to go 7-3 in these next few games or even 6-4. If the Pels are able to hop over the Lakers, sac, and min for the 9 spot. That would be a success. Figuritely speaking, then you can go ahead and make your splash move/moves with confidance. While being the lead dog in the best of the rest dog fight for that 8 seed spot. One or two of Utah, SA, LAC, Hou are going to have come down with some injuries or bad luck to get back in this thing. Feels like just a matter of time. I think we are better than Portland, Utah, San Antonio, Lakers, Sacramento, and Minnesota, although our record doesnt reflect it. We are not getting blown out, the games are close.

We will find out if this team is the real deal over the next hand full of games. I think the Pels are the real deal who had some injuries and adversity early on.

While the clippers and spurs are over achieving atm, imo.

Unless AD has secretly committed to accepting any Pels' offer that is at least equal to that of another suitor, the team HAS to get SOMETHING for him.

We're not winning with him so we might as well trade him for the best players and picks we can get.

AD is great, but even Jordan needed Pippen, Rodman, Kerr and Horace Grant.

If AD can't do it with this roster and we can't for sure sign him long-term it might just be time to blow it all up and get as much of a return as is possible.

The Pelicans are one of three teams outscoring their opponents by exactly 2 points per 100 possessions so far this season. Those three teams' records:
