So I work construction out of state and one of the guys on the project claims to have played football from 91-93. Its all he talks about. So i look this baw up and he isnt on any rosters anywhere online. LSU even lists walkons on their rosters. So i confronted him about this and he still insists that he played and started at LB for the tigers. Said he was number 64. I'm just looking for some proof that ole baw Donovan Bennet is full of Shite. Please help me prove this guy is a total fake
How does anybody talk shite like this in the age of Google?
Ole baw sounds like he’s a sandwich or two shy of a picnic basket to tell such an easily verifiable lie.

To be fair most LSU football players from 91-93 have since changed their names

Just saw this thread
It’s true he did play for LSU during that time period. The reason I know he did because he would come to my elementary school along with a few others and they would speak to our class. They wore their jerseys and I specifically remember him.
I don’t get why his name isn’t listed anywhere because you’re right I googled and nothing came up but he played for LSU
I forget if he was worth a shite or not.
I’m gonna open up a few boxes in the attic and see if I can locate a picture we took together.

It seems to happen more often than one would think.
We had a contractor come over who claimed to have played running back for Oklahoma in the late 80s. Said he had gotten hundreds of scholarship offers.
Obviously it was BS. Guy was nowhere to be found on any OU roster. Should have been a red flag, but we hired him for drywall work anyway because a couple of people in the neighborhood recommended him. Proceeds to tell us all kinds of nonsense. Claimed he personally knew Aurthur Blank. After I told him I was an LSU grad, he says that he’s going to be hanging out with OBJ’s dad over Memorial Day weekend.
Turns out he also lied about his drywall ability too. He did about as good a job as I would have done having never hung drywall in my life. Lesson learned: Never deal with people who tell easily debunked lies.

Oh yeah...Donovan Bennet! Wish we had more like him. He was a menace to offenses. I thought he had gone pro after that great senior year. You go Donavan!

My old boss hired this 5'5" Spanish dude who said he played division 1 basketball at La Salle in Philly. He didn't get his degree though. He just played ball for a couple of years.
I didn't need to, but I google searched anyway. He said they scrubbed his name off the roster because he got in some trouble banging a teammate's girlfriend.

1. If there WAS a Donovan Bennett on the team at that time he never sniffed the field.
2. Toby Caston was #69 and a linebacker in the 80s.

We also had a #85 LB that started in those years.

I just pulled up my fan day autographs from the Curley days. Back then you could get the entire team to sign in an hour because only 1-2 players had a line. Anyway, there he is Donovan Bennet signed in purple crayon. Huge recruit if I remember correctly. Got in a little academic trouble and of course broke the earring rule. Curley sent it home to his momma I think. But great LBer. Gave him an lineman number because he was so versatile.
