It appears their data is flawed.

I don't know too much about the beer scene aside from the places I've lived.
North Carolina (specifically Asheville) is awesome.

I will say this though, I am very glad to live in Fort Collins, Colorado. The scene here is as good as I can imagine it being in the country.

You know when I started this I didn't think it would go 5 pages... I actually started it based on the FBD thread in the beers that we routinely see. No longer do we see a lot of Midwest beers posted or beers from Colorado that people trade for.

Happy to see some Midwest baws chime in. I belong to a St. Louis beer group and these guys have access to some good stuff.

I lived in FoCo back in 2000. It was mainly Odell and NB then.

Wish they'd had Funkwerks back in those days. Their stuff is awesome for those who like the wild / saison side of things.

I don't think those numbers include nanobreweries. Per Wikipedia, Oregon had 234 breweries as of July, 2015, plus many more nanobreweries.

As of July 2015, Oregon was home to 234 brewing facilities operated by 194 brewing companies.[7] There are also many nanobreweries in Oregon.

That's just Oregon. I'm sure the same is true for the rest of the states - the numbers are underestimated, or just don't include nanobreweries.

Yeah there’s over 150 in Massachusetts. Not 39.

Edit: does that say 39 for MA or 102?

Numbers are way off either way.

I just got here this past summer after living in the southeast (LA, FL, and then NC while in the USMC) my entire life.

Odell (I'm a pretty big fan of 90 Schilling - Partly because it's cheap as hell here) and NB still are obviously still the biggest two.

I was shocked with how many breweries there are here now, it's quite a few (we'll count Loveland in the mix too).

FoCo is probably completely different than what it was when you were here. I know my roommate said that he hardly recognizes the majority of Colorado in just the four years we served together in the Corps.

Yeah thought so after a second glance.

Still about 50-60 breweries shy.
