I wanted to try something for a Cinco de Mayo fundraiser next month so while I was at it I decided to make Taco Burger Sliders. No that's not what I'll be making at least 200 of for the fundraiser but the wife did sort of suggest it. I already have three other items I'm considering serving.
So, I made a homemade taco seasoning(which came out REALLY good!)and seasoned the meat and set it back in the fridge to get more flavorful.
I made up 21 balls of meat to be smashed into patties.
Some got a couple of slices of fresh jalapeno slices smashed into them and then topped with cheddar cheese to get melted over them.
Covered them with a dome to help melt the cheese.
Having had a couple of cold beer while cooking I was pretty hungry so I made up four for myself. They were made the same way if they were tacos. Sour cream, shredded lettuce, salsa and tomatoes(all we had were grape tomatoes but that saved dicing them).
I have to say these came out delicious and tasted pretty much like a spicy taco.

Looks good but all I can think of now is Taco Tico and it's glorious greasy greatness, alliteration intended...

I've made quesadilla burgers before and those are fun.

Looks great. I'd roll with some pico instead of tomatoes and of course an avocado slice.
