this will bring me to my knees someday. One of mine is 7, the other 4.

I feel for anyone having to lose a companion like that. God bless you for being a good friend in return.

From one dog lover to another, sorry to hear about your loss. Just remember, when the time is right, there's another dog out there who needs a good owner like you.

Prayers sent. It's unfortunate our best four legged friends live such short lives.

Just had one go into surgery today for a blockage in the small intestine. The fear was cancer but it turned out to be a foreign body that was there for a while.

Dumbass dog ate something a while back and couldn't pass it.

One of the hardest things to do. Very touching. You two deserved each other, I'm sure.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've had to do it three times and it doesn't get any easier.

Just had to do the same with mine a little over 2 weeks ago, its going to take a long time to get used to her not being around. I miss her a lot, but I am so thankful that i ever had her in the first place. You're a great owner, and made a humane decision, and I wish you peace in these times. May both our pups now enjoy the greatest disease-free joys up there!

I'm very sorry. You gave her a good life, and she was loved.

Sorry for your loss. Seems to be a recurring theme around here. Doesn't make it easier but a lot of us have experienced what you just have. It does get better after a while
