Lagasse's was awesome.
Unfortunately I said "was"

If you go on the weekend of a big title fight or CFB/NFL weekend but its a rather pathetic place in the middle of week at noon watching degenerate gamblers bet on the ponies.

I like to buy a ton of Keno tickets and sit in my room watching results on the tv.
But seriously, bring a racing form to make bets that don’t take long to win or lose while longer games play out.

Just stay home. Bet on your phone if your state allows it.
Better experience. No having to stand in line to place your bets or to get paid. Know the results instantly.
You just have to cook your own or get your significant other to make you a spread of party food.
Been to the casinos in Mississippi, most of the players are using oversized tablets that are kiosks where you place your bets and get a play slip.
Some of the kiosks will print out tickets that work in cash machines that slot players use so you can turn your winning ticket into cash or you can put it the kiosk to place more bets.
Unless you’re Mattress Mack and need security to carry your cash to place your wager, you are not likely to use the counter.

But that’s when European soccer games are…
That business has probably picked up here

Almost up voted my own post thinking it was a pretty accurate description only to find out I wrote it three years ago. Old bumps get you like that.

There are plenty of decent casinos on the strip with wide open seating for gambling. Seriously. It’s great if you know where to go.
This cat gets it
I've been to South Point twice and enjoyed myself there. It was laid back and fairly casual for the most part. Not a ton of "high rollers" or anything. The dude above with the long description and suggestion for finger foods pretty much nailed it.
It's something everyone should do once if you like gambling. I enjoyed walking in and seeing the theater-like seats and the 30 or so TVs up on the wall, along with the big-arse Family Feud fast-money style toteboard that had all the games and lines posted.
I was there around Thanksgiving, so college football was huge, especially on Saturday morning when the games started at 9am local time. It was cool seeing the real degenerates show up around 8:30 to get their bets in

prefer the apps now. get the money instantly as opposed to waiting in line to get cash from your ticket

I am into casinos. It's like a hobby for me. I enjoy playing for a couple of hours after work. I forget about my problems and stress whenever I play and enjoy the game. Moreover, I have recently joined the Plinko community on the LINK website to be more connected with the guys who share the same interests as me. I am really into this field and have kept meeting new people who have the same hobby.

Now, if you are a high roller or with a high roller, the worlds your oyster.
No hyperbole, but experiencing Vegas with a high roller is one of the funnest things I've ever done.

This bump brought to you by the City of Las Vegas Tourism Bureau and MGM Properties.

I went this year for Thursday and Friday of the NCAA Tournament. My friends and I stayed at the Golden Nugget downtown. There's a corner with four big casinos, and then there's the Circa Sportsbook.
The seating in the sportsbooks in the casinos were filled/reserved for VIPs, as others have mentioned. Circa is insane with the size/amount of TVs they have, but pretty much all the seating was bought and paid for, so we just walked through to gawk at the size of the big screen.
My friend and I would go to the book at the Nugget in the morning, and place all our bets for the day at once. Then we'd find a bar at the one of the casinos that had multiple games on and slow play video poker and get free drinks. I even got a massage at one point.
Video poker+free drinks+sports on tv+massage= not baaaad
Then we'd break up the day by walking around and getting food, hitting the craps and blackjack tables. It's a fun experience, but I need it once a year for two days IF THAT
