He was not convicted of anything.
Two of his COMPANIES were convicted of felonies. That is all.

You are correct.
However, as we have seen in the last couple of decades, the truth doesn't matter.
The narrative has to be pushed out quickly, then the idiots who get their news from 10 second sound bites and social media have it stuck in their heads that this is the truth, even when the purveyors of this propaganda are forced to admit (albeit quietly and much later) that they were wrong.
By then the damage is done and they have moved on to the next lie to feed the sheeple.
Look at how many people still think the whole HB laptop scandal is still "Russian disinformation" after 2+ years.
Perception has become reality for far too many people.
