Waiting for the first announced "Mower buy back" I'll load up my truck with garage sale push mowers and drive to Dallas.

Electric lawn mowers aren't worth a shite. I tried one once and it stalled out when the grass wasn't even high. It could never manage a thick lawn after heavy rains prevented cutting for a few summer days.

My Ego mower does an excellent job on tall, thick grass. I think a battery mower is good for a yard that can be mowed by a push/self-propelled mower in one hour. It is a more enjoyable experience than the gas mower.

No way a lawn business can run well on battery power though.

I hate leafblowers so much I’m not sure I have an ideologically correct response to this.

Rakes worked for years.

The only two pieces of maintenance equipment I have left that are gas powered are a generator and a power washer. I'm on my third year of battery powered lawn equipment. 80V mower, 40V edger, leaf blower and hedge clipper.

Don't miss gas, oil, fouled plugs, carburetor problems, stuck floats, pulling start cords over and over, loud mufflers, burning exhaust fumes, changing oil and filters. Not. At. All.

The gas mowers are not so bothersome, and the electric ones still have a way to go before they are suitable for everyone.

But the gas leaf blowers are ridiculously loud and high pitched. Many folks now work from home and can't get through a Zoom meeting or phone call without a screaming arse blower interrupting. The electric versions are much quieter and work well. I'd be willing to entertain a ban on gas blowers in residential areas.

Spoiler alert: None of the Commie Corksoakers that voted for this have ever done a minutes' labor in their lives.

It’s all fun and games until those politicians’ yard crews don’t show up for the first time
