Saints are signing TE Chris Herndon, according to a source. Herndon had a great rookie season for the Jets in 2018, racking up 502 yards. Some potential there.

Yeah I seem to remember last year there was talk of him being a sleeper fantasy TE. So I guess there is talent there somewhere.

He played really good on PEDs - hopefully he can play better without them?

Do you think that this signing has anything to do with Taysom's recent injury in camp??

Also, just watched a 'Welcome to NO' youtube video and man, he reminds me of Jared Cook. A LOT of drops and fumbles.

Ok, 9 drops in 3 productive seasons....2019 only played 1 game. Total of 74 receptions in those 3 seasons, 8 TDs total and 4 fumbles, 2 lost.

Think I'd rather run with Krull, Trautman and see what Johnson can do.

Honestly, I think it has more to do with the lack of production at TE. As much as cooks fumbles against the Bucs pained us he was at least somewhat productive in his time here. We haven’t had consistent TE play since Graham.

It doesn't hurt to bring him in and compete. The kid has talent. If the light bulb comes on, he is starting caliber IMO i dont think it will personally just have the occasional flash in the pan game.

Also I don't think we brought him in to start. If the guy wins back up or 3rd TE we could do a lot worse

7.6 yards per target and 11.1 yards per catch for his career. Listed at 6'4 250lbs, if he can block and control the ball better, sounds like a good pick up.

He’s an extra offensive lineman. Dude will never be a prolific receiver. He can play a role.
