but none about Riley being bad for leaving Ok.
Is it simply because ND had a chance to get to the playoffs? Is the soreness coming from hurt reporters who are Catholics?
Is it something else?

I've actually felt it was the opposite.

Probably because ND is in the playoff hunt and more importantly it is ND, a storied program (in the past) with a ton of history.

Oklahoma is Oklahoma, who cares.

Just a byproduct of people thinking ND is a much better place than Oklahoma.

Seems like a good bit of backlash on Riley too.

Fact is their is no perfect way to handle the transition. Kelly could have refused the LSU job, but that shouldn't be the expectation. The nature of the business.

It’s the media’s beloved Notre Dame. What’d you expect?

They're offended that someone would dare leave the golden child of CFB in ND for Baton Rouge, LA. They're not going to tear someone apart for leaving Oklahoma for Los Angeles.

It’s from elitist college sports “writers” that think schools like LSU shouldn’t be at the same table as stories programs like ND, USC, tOSU, and Michigan.

They hate the south and fly over country in general.

Playoffs and Notre Dame is supposed to be the shining city on the hill. How dare someone leave there for a backwards school that only cares about football. People don't want to accept it's not 1973 anymore.

You can tell he’s a good coach because the same happened to Nick when he left here

It’s just an observation.
This should be a time for LSU to garner positive media and attract new prospects. Having negative stories written about your new coach doesn’t help.

LSU did something no one is supposed to do and that’s pull a coach from ND. What makes it even bigger is that they not only pulled their coach, but they pulled their coach who’s been very successful and has them in the middle of the playoff hunt.

They’ve created this crap by creating an early signing day. You must have your coach in place or your whole signing class could go to hell. This is what college football wanted. Players can leave if their feelings get hurt and play somewheres else immediately well so can coaches. He on the backside of his career and his last hurdle is a Natty! He sees LSU and the SEC as the best chance to get there.
