This is just a place where everyone who acted a bit immaturely can apologize to President Tate who did not force Scott Woodward to hire anyone based on race.

I have to agree with this. He literally hired about the whitest guy in America, so it's clear he let Scott do his job.

I was never one of those. I thought Tomlin would be a home run, Tucker a base hit, and Franklin a whiff, and even Franklin would be better than BoB.

Is he?

He said the other day he would never have started the renaming committee for LSU buildings...

I heard Moscona scream about that regularly, telling everybody to put their money on Tucker in his condescending tone.

Don’t forget that he came out as AGAINST the racism task force tasked with finding and erasing names from campus due to “racism”!

He appears to fight for the same social justice as MLK and that’s GREAT in my book. Character, and equal treatment rather than skin color!

No

Tate has a history of pushing Marxist ideology that holds back black kids from succeeding in academics

He is a radical extremist. His weighing in and trying to influence Woodward with black candidates on the basis of skin color alone would have been entirely on-brand for him. This does not mean he actually did that, and he clearly never mandated anything.

Works for me, but I hope he takes another job soon.

Typical ratings play by Moscona to tell his listeners what they want to hear so they can keep listening, call in, and drive up ratings by creating a fictitious enemy and doom scenario.

I certainly don’t see eye to eye with Tate on everything. But he is a shrewd political operator, not a 19 year old Twitter activist.

If he stays here for 4-5 years, there will be some incremental changes made. They will displease certain members of the BoT, and if anyone on the Rant is paying attention, it may also get them riled up.

But it was never going to be about the most important athletics hire of the decade.

Never thought Tate would meddle, but allowing SW to do his thing he was hired for may just result in also getting a great up and coming DC (and HCIW?) who so happens to be a POC. And would be someone the fans could organically get behind. Win win win!

I’ve actually heard nothing but good things from people that have interacted with Tate. CRT is certainly a controversial topic but so far everything I’ve heard on him has been positive and this seems to fall in line with it.

Would you like to go into actual details or just continue making shite up? Guarantee you are one of the idiots saying he would mandate a black coach.

I still think critical race theory proponents are loons but I'm glad he didn't meddle in the hire.
