I was a little underwhelmed but I didn't hate it.
The more I think about it, the more I'm pleased with it.
Glad he's willing to accept facing Alabama, Florida, etc every year.
I'm willing to give the guy a chance.

I'll be revisiting this moment when Kelly leads us to 7 win seasons and you're all complaining. Go hang your hat on Kelly's amazing record in the playoffs.
Oh the irony in that statement lol

I think it was a poor move that won't bode well for our football program. Am I in the extreme minority?
You want to be taken seriously, give specifics.

Im interested why you don't think so?
I have the same concerns about most coaches his age-- it's increasingly a young man's game that requires a ton of innovation or being Nick Saban. I don't know if he can adapt his game to the SEC schedule.
At the same time I worry that he's not ready for the rigors of an SEC schedule. He's lost big every time he's made it to a meaningful postseason game, and he'll be facing that kind of intensity weekly.

Need to have a MELT board!

Unless he has you filming practices I think you're fine.

Not really displeased. I don't think he's a homerun hire but I think he's a good hire. I have a lot of question marks with him but there's plenty of positives. I'll probably warm up to his hire more as time passes especially if he homeruns the assistant hires which I'm hoping he can do since his coaching carousel should be huge to pluck from.

By that measurement, you’d only be happy with Saban, Day, or Dabo.

Wow you are retarded.

Don't feel much tbh. Can't say it's a bad hire though.

It’s not his coaching ability that Displeases me he is a good choice there…I have children that are grown, he ended a kids life and his parents and loved ones are still suffering and I believe he should as well…if it had been my child his opportunity in this life would be nonexistent…

OK. Who would you rather it be? Thrall us with your acumen.

A brilliant retort from a brilliant man. What other insight do you have to add this evening? I'm riveted.

Why do you think it’s a bad hire? Who did you want instead?
It seems like Jimbo was Woodward’s first choice and Lincoln Riley was his second. He waited a long time for those big splashes but it didn’t happen. By the time the Riley deal died, Napier was gone and Woodward had increased several other coaches salaries at home. All in all I think he’s a solid hire and an improvement. I’m gonna throw my support behind the tigers

I'm serious have you seen the success LSU has had with our last two hires? They were characters and really did not have much more that that going for them.
This guy's has rebuilt multiple programs. He is the one who put Cincinnati and central Michigan on the damn map.
this guy wants to win a NC so bad
This guy is not going anywhere he is hear for the long haul until retirement
He has recuited so well for a college with higher academics standards and really not much going for them other than being a storied program.
This is the best coach LSU has ever hired at the time of hire with out a doubt. You are selling him short just watch, we have the best coach since Nick Saban in our hands and I imagine we have him for 7-14 years unless things really don't work out. He ain't going no where and LSU is going to improve every single year

I like the way you laid this out here. Gives me a glimmer of hope.

What? He held practice outside in the rain and wind. Small mistakes do cost lives you're not wrong. But do you think he should not be a head coach anymore because he held practice in inclement weather?
It seems like it's more the university fault for not ensuring football team has a filming tower and renting a scissor lift for the team to film practices? A crane or lift or bucket truck are all dangerous to someone not experienced. These are football coaches not OSHA.
