If so, I'm very pleased with the hire. He's definitely proven himself, but I expect many here will melt down and call it the worst hire in the history of the game

Great hire. It’s really a home run hire. He is a proven winner over a long time and at multiple schools. He is intelligent, competent, professional, and dedicated. These are a combination of qualities we have not had since Saban.

I’m OK with it. He is good enough to be the fourth consecutive head coach to win a national title at LSU. He is the anti-Ed Orgeron and Les Miles. He is all business and competent. He is not a character.

I think it’s a great hire. He brings structure and discipline to the team. Something this team has been missing from a coach for a while. This is exactly what Sabin brought to Alabama and look how that turned out. Outstanding hire for this program

He’s not a home run hire because his hire won’t bring a lot of enthusiasm and probably won’t (unless his assistant list is unbelievable) salvage this class to a significant degree.

I honestly don't understand the hate unless you just really fell in love with Lincoln Riley and won't accept anyone else. Fact is we got a better coach today than USC got yesterday. And if I hear 'he killed a guy' as the butt of a joke one more time

I am stoked! Always has a good team. Doesn't put up with bullshite. Recruits very well. Now just can't wait to see the OC and DC.
His team is in playoff contention.
