No sauce. Just deductive reasoning. Here are our coaching possibilities

If we consider Woodward a buffoon we aren’t using good sense so let’s proceed with what looks more likely. Our coach has been secured. The evidence for this is strong. Our coach is yet to be announced which means he is currently coaching somewhere and needs to keep it quiet.
Therefore, the five top possibilities in my opinion as to likelihood:
1. Saban
2. Meyer
3. Rhule
4. Aranda
5. Swinney
Any of these are a great hire. There could be others but reason leads us to these. Enjoy your week.

There you’re gonna love it guy has to be on this list if we are talking about one guy. A package deal with Herman or Brady as OC opens up people like Campbell and Petersen. In no world is stoops okay though. Don’t care who he brings with him.

That is one possibility. The other possibility that people are immediately jumping to is that we have to regroup because we got played by Riley. For some reason our fanbase always go to the worst case. I’m choosing to believe your possibility until proven otherwise.

Yep. The first criteria is PROVEN coach at a major college program or better. One good year at Baylor just isn’t close to enough.

There really aren't many guys out there that fit this, unless you REALLY stretch "proven" or "major"
Campbell has only had one great year
Stoops has had no great years in a weak SEC east

I agree that Aranda as a HC is still unknown but his time at LSU keeps him in the mix.

The Riley to USC deal is not something that surpised LSU. I suspect they knew this 2 weeks ago when things were hot and heavy with Riley/LSU talk. This is why things got really quiet right after. USC had grabbed Riley at that point. LSU knew 2 weeks ago that he wasn't coming. I think SW knew as soon as USC stepped into the ring LSU wasn't getting him.
USC deal was done 2 weeks ago at best and they held off announcing to see what OU would go to Big12 title game. It would probably be delayed more if they had won the Big12 title.

If this is the case, then Scotty would have been smart to leak to Delly or another friendly reporter to tamp down the Riley rumors. Instead, the perception is that we whiffed.
