The "True Detective" star announced his decision to not enter the political arena in a video message posted to Twitter, saying he ultimately decided not to mount a challenge against GOP Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
"As a simple kid born in the little town of Uvalde, Texas, it never occurred to me that I would one day be considered for political leadership. It’s a humbling and inspiring path to ponder," McConaughey said. "It is also a path that I’m choosing not to take at this moment."

Who considered him for politics?

Would have been laughably bad.

He must have a million skeletons in his closet.

Nah, getting caught naked playing the bongos with a pound of weed and 100 pounds of coke has a way of telling the world, “My skeletons are not in the closet.”

I bet he forced himself on a bunch of males or females in Hollyweird.

The left, because if you can put a pretty bow on shite policies combined with a media campaign then you can get people to accept any dumb policy.

Isn't Allen West still running? I would vote for him, if I lived in Texas.
He is a patriot and a man's man in the right sense of the phrase.

There is no 'Middle' in today's politics. And though it's always been safe for Republicans to side with the Dems (compassion for the 'oppressed'/poor) on some occasions, those days are over as the Dems go Authoritarian Socialist/Fascist full bore...and the 'Red Wave' builds to meet BLM/Antifa in the street.
Throw in another more deadly CCP Viral bioweapon, and who wants to be responsible for dealing with that. Only somebody who was born to such a calling and rises to it. Not Matt. And not a lot of lightweight social climbers seeking to ride the DC gravy train. Serious shite ahead.

Going to throw his support to Beto.

Allan west is too conservative for Texas. Texans talk a good game, but everyone messes with them and they usually fold. Hell, they have let hundreds of thousands of third world migrants just walk across our southern border. All hat no cattle.

I’d have voted for him over Beto. He at least has some experience in making an honest buck unlike the fake Mexican.
In a world that has Schiff, Romney, King, AOC, Flake, MTG, Harris, Swallwell, and Cuomo… Beto is the worst politician in my lifetime.

I think he would have done well in Texas for the sole fact that he was vocal about not wanting immigrating liberals liberalling his red state. That's more than we can say about our politicians in La
Popular
