re: Godfrey seems to be referring to Fickell

Dear god frick I hope it's not Kelly's old arse.

Given that there are 10,000 more direct ways to refer to Fickell than assuming people know he's Catholic and just last night Godfrey was saying Mark Stoops, I think it's fair to say he's just trolling. Probably with the Mark Stoops tweet as well.

Cinci sports page clearly thinks it’s about Fickell and he doesn’t respond otherwise. The “nope”rather than “not you” or something there suggests that correct, imo.

This describes Napier, too, but, like Fickel, he only had prior HC experience at a non-P5 school

Also one is possibly the hottest young coaching prospect, and the other is a 60 year old on the backside of his career.

Certainly could be a ND reference. Cincy people may just be worried about ND opening and losing Fickell there.

Also guys in the Godfrey discord just suggested it was Fickell as well.

Fickell was a coordinator for a large number of years and his teams won national championships in those years.

A bit different than bargain bin billy getting fired by Clemson.

Luke has also beaten far more than 1 power 5 team and done it in multiple
seasons while coaching at his group of 5 team.


I’m not a huge fickell fan but his resume is clearly better than Billy’s
