Summary
His 2 trusted sources either don't know or won't tell who Woodward is trying to hire.
They did tell him last week that the Riley noise was not consistent with what was or is going on behind the scenes.
It is what it is - tight lipped...
Shea said he really has no idea "who"
And he follows LSU news for a living.
Trusted sources we know over the years were apparently mislead about the depth of conversations with Riley...
That started the internet "fire"

I just can't see who could be a bigger higher than Riley. Maybe you can say Rhule

Woodward had to go hunting for a week so the hire got delayed.

And his update yesterday said that nothing was inked "just yet", but that doesn't mean a deal isn't "pretty far along".
Then he literally said things were being put in place for a Monday announcement, and that it's been planned that way for weeks.
Now he's saying Riley was never really seriously considered and Woodward has always wanted someone else. And that we may not hear anything for a while.
He's saying what LSU wants him to say because Woodward got burned by Riley.
