Was it Dave the whole time?

Obviously, even with Riley saying he won't be the next coach at LSU, you can't rule anything out, but maybe he was the smoke and the insiders were fed bad information intentionally. Woodward could have been a step ahead the entire time and got told by Riley early that he didn't want to leave. It could be Dave or someone else, but all of this could be intentional. If it's Aranda, they'll have a hard time hiding it at this point if they don't announce it tomorrow. I know Baylor is extending him and all that, but maybe that extension was a reaction to try to get him to stay. There are a lot of different ways this can turn out obviously, but it's not exactly trending towards Riley at this point.
Add in the strange thread from Chicken earlier tonight talking about Aranda and maybe it is him. We'll see I guess.

I'll take Dave. He was winning the LSU coaches poll until the Riley smoke started.

Did Aranda sign his extension?

Several insiders have stuck with aranda, but they have been drowned out by the riley faction.

He is not going to go after Aranda, He said he is going after a white whale so to me that means Riley or Jimbo, just like everyone said from the start, and Riley just checked out. Read the tea leaves, its Jimbo.

I like Aranda the most out of any of the prospects. However, isn't there still a slim chance that Baylor could get in the playoffs if the championship weekend falls a certain way?

Aranda is who I want. He would build this team up from the ground up, with a tough D which is necessary in the SEC, and we will never have to worry about any problems from him.

Seriously doubt it. I don't see them letting in a 2 loss Big 12 champion. They have a bad loss to TCU as well. With all the other teams in front of them, I don't see it happening. They'd probably let in Bama over Baylor if they don't get absolutely destroyed by Georgia.

So riley saying he wasnt gone be the next coach takes him off but Jimbo saying it multiple times emphatically leads you to believe it is him instead? Lol

1. I don't think Woodward ever actually stated he was going after a white whale.
2. He could have a completely different idea on what is a great hire for LSU football than everyone on this board. Shocker, I know.
3. Jimbo denied it even more emphatically than Riley did. So, by your own logic he should be checked out as well.
