What a scary and stupid take that is. So LSU (and I assume in your mind every other program in the country) should banish this young lady over "allegations" that have yet and may never be proven? Must be nice to be perfect in every way like you.

I did "down vote" and did so because I believe in a very old BIBLICAL principle- FORGIVENESS.
I was raised in a very racial unjust time and area, and it was WRONG! BUT if we had not been shown and taught how wrong it was, I would not be where I am today!
Thank God I was taught forgiveness and that anyone can learn given proper help and not hate because of mistakes that may have been taught when we were young.
I 10000% support our staff, administration, and team for being open to AJ having a chance to learn and grow.

I certainly agree about forgiveness, East Texas! That’s why I was originally supportive of her coming here. Everyone makes mistakes in life and should be given the chance to atone for those mistakes. I just hope she didn’t lie to Jay and ACK about the retaliation. That, to me, is another issue altogether. And I’m NOT saying she lied. But it seems one side isn’t being honest. And I also agree with you about Jay and his staff. I am 100% behind them!

There is a screwed up team dynamic when a student is calling for a firing of her head coach. I guess she thinks she's the alpha on that "team."

Hi tigerbaiter Thanks for snapshotting a small part of my post and missing the part after this that said there should be a full independent investigation before she is allowed on the team. That was the point it doesn’t matter the context because there are allegations that need to be addressed by an investigation. If someone has allegations of racism against them there should be an independent investigation clearing her of wrongdoing before being allowed on the team.

Serious question. Is singing a rap song with the n word really considered RACISM? I think not. Maybe bad judgment but thats it.

In my view that is racism and should not be and should not be happening Understand everyone had different views. However as other commenters have stated there are allegations that she was told it’s wrong and carried on doing it and that it was upsetting her teammates but carried on doing it and that there were other comments made by her that could be considered racist. That’s why in my view an Independent investigation would be best because it was clear up exactly what happened I think this would benefit Lsu an and ucla to have the facts clear as well as aj herself

On to another topic.
Judging off of various LSU gymnast Instagram stories, it looks like they are on their way to Georgia. Barring a catastrophic number of positive tests, we will have a meet this week! Considering Georgia's previous outings, I'm expecting a win from the Tigers, but hopefully, we get a 197+ away score. Looking forward to watching gymnastics rather than discussing this transfer.

One of the Auburn gymnasts mom is who brought the entire AJ/UCLA drama to light.
I don’t think her initial remarks were accurate though. She claimed AJ was hurling racist remarks & I think it’s become clear that is not necessarily what happened. It appears AJ was singing along to lyrics and said the n-word. I don’t agree with it however there’s an entire generation of kids that think it’s ok to use that word if it’s singing lyrics.
With that said, I read the transcript Margzetta did with that podcast and felt it was a bit dramatic.

Ugh these down votes… really hoping they’re just bitter UCLA fans.
Ok, for tonight, let’s make sure we’re all realistic. There’s going to be lots of rust and a few big scores not available. I think we all need to remember, any improvement over Week 1 should be viewed as a good thing. Let’s all stay positive and although this team is incredibly capable of going 198+, I’d still be happy with a 197.1

They released lineups. Bryant will do bars and vault! That’s a great sign for how her plantar fasciitis is doing.
Dunne on bars and floor.
Finnegan on beam but as 2nd up. A little surprised at her placement in the lineup.
Desiderio on FX kinda surprises me, but I guess with Kiya and Bryant out right now you gotta go with what you got.
Arenas was in on an event, floor maybe?
Tonight is basically like a reset for this team so I don’t expect anything, just hope for consistency and not everyone looking scared on beam.
Speaking of beam. Why is Campbell not in the lineup?

Honestly, Desiderio looked awesome on floor on last week's intrasquad. plus her music is one of the best.
