I've been saying for several weeks now "don't let Napier get away." I think he is probably 98% the coach that a guy like Riley is right now, with more upside potential after a season at LSU.

This Florida opening has now thrown a monkey wrench into things.

I still would hope Napier would prefer the LSU job (with good reason!) over Florida. But if Florida offers him, no one could blame him for going ahead and accepting.

Napier isn’t my pick, but very few P5 head coaches are hired away from other P5 schools.

If fact, in the SEC, only Saban, Mullen, Kiffin, Orgeron and Leach had P5 experience. Two of those have already been fired. Two others, Kiffin and Leach, have previously been fired.

Only Mullen and Leach were actually at a P5 school when hired - not a raving endorsement.
