If it turns out to be MStoops per JDoucet, it will be like...

...popping a balloon. The air will rush out of us all. The disappointment will be palpable. Season tickets will no doubt plunge.
I respect what he has done in Lexington. I just don't know ANY Tiger Faithfull who would get excited for 2022 with that hire.

I won’t be a fan anymore. Type of hire that destroys a program and would be inexcusable

A little dramatic, he wouldnt be a homerun hire, but exciting the fanbase with a hire isnt necessary. He has been good there consistently for awhile. He could very well be a good coach here

I thought he later admitted that he really didn’t know who it was going to be.

If LSU wants to lose millions of dollars on football support this is a way to do it.

Good for Woodward "we" are but a very small portion of the overall fanbase

Highly doubt it’ll be stoops

Sure it isn’t, but selling tickets and soliciting donations is kind of important.

Plunge? I think you overestimate how many fans can accurately judge the ability of a coach, or even care who the coach is. There are a lot of fans that still think O is a good coach.

Absolutely no chance it’s Stoops. These threads are dumb.

Here are the coaching hires in my lifetime:
Rein
Stovall
Arnsparger
Archer
Hallman
Dinardo
Saban - didn't excite anyone
Miles
Orgeron
Stoops isn't someone I want but I'm not going to melt, cry, stop being a fan if he's hired. But then again I'm an adult.

Saban excited me but I was living in Indiana at the time and probably knew of him a little more than the average LSU fan.

Stoops is at the absolute bottom of any credible candidate that’s been named.
He is Les Miles without the sexual harassment.

Stoops is able to recruit at Kentucky. Why couldn’t he have top classes here if he already is able to get top 25 classes at Kentucky. He has stolen several high profile recruits from Bama and other schools. His name isn’t one that brings excitement but I think he is very underrated and could surprise
