I’ve never heard of a head coach attending another game on the same day he’s coaching one.

Has that ever happened before? A head coach on game day goes out of town to attend another college football game then comes back and coaches that night. Unfreakingbelievable. It’s almost comical.

Why so funny. Just because we all sit our asses on sofa all day waiting for Our game to come on tv don’t mean a coach does. Plus game was so late at night ,why not?

I mean does it matter. He is already fired. It is his son senior day. Asst. Lachesis are the ones leading the team meetings.

What are they gonna do? Fire him?

The fact that he went to his sons senior day a couple hours a way doesn’t bother me at all.
Besides, it’s not like does any real coaching anyway.
People upset about this are overreacting

not at all trying to defend this dipshit.
but i mean how many other coaches have had their sons playing in their final career game that close (geographically) with that much time between kicks (4-5 hours between one ending and other starting) on the same day?
still comical that he did it though.

He honored his son by being there as a father and won a game in Tiger Stadium. Sounds like a successful day to me. But you are upset for some reason.

I want to say that if he weren’t already fired he wouldn’t have done that, but I really don’t know given who he is.

quote:Yes, I’m sure all head coaches do absolutely nothing on game day, decide not to work and use the day to travel and do personal shite because “why not?”

What are you babbling on about, man?

Fired to the amount of $18 million plus we wanted another $20 + million since 2019 on him and his mistakes like Pelini and Peetz

situational awareness
do you honestly think he does ANYTHING to prepare the team to play? he just gives them a rah rah grumble and says less go
no one should at this point assume ed does anything to prepare the team or is in any way involved in the players game prep or planning
i think the ONLY thing was involved in was that fake punt fiasco, that was classic gumbo man coaching there

Hes a father. His family has sacrificed tremendously over the years because of his dedication to coaching and recruiting.
It was senior day for his son and he was able to quickly attend the ceremony. We played a late home game against a weak team.
What did you want him to do? Wake up early and get Max some reps on how to improve his technique?
There was absolutely nothing he could have been doing here

I am guessing that LSU's 8 PM start time was requested by LSU so O could do that

Of all the things we could blame him for, this isn't one of them. It made no difference. Sometimes family comes first. He did this right.
