he has a huge contract extension waiting for him to sign at mich state, yet he hasn't signed it. i think it's likely that it isn't signed because he's in negotiations with someone else. i'll think its tucker until he signs the extension

If we pay Tucker anywhere close to what MSU is offering I can't wait to see the melt on this board.

I hope so. he needs to parlay this lightning in a bottle season which he probably would never duplicate in east Lansing.

He's probably waiting for a hire to be made before accepting.

I still think it's Riley but wouldn't be surprised if it's Urban.

not coming from gameday. just looking at the information that's out there:
1. he has a huge extension waiting for him to sign
2. he hasn't signed it
3. he is likely (no on knows for sure) in the mix for the lsu job

the only reason i can think that he hasn't signed that extension is that he wants out of east lansing and is in negotiations elsewhere

Or…….he didn’t sign it because he was concentrated on playing Ohio State ??????????????

Honestly I think this makes sense. Fills our POC need for the president as well

not how this works, you sign the contract to remove any doubt as to whether you're leaving or not. it would actually allow himself, the staff, and the team to focus on the task at hand

He has a big game today, plus he’s still focused on the season. I wouldn’t put much stock in the the contract extension.

Contracts take time. It could be as simple as his attorneys are going back and forth over the contract that has been presented and working out the details.

Agreed. Plus some details might still be getting worked out.

The nuts and bolts of the contract wouldn’t be leaked if they weren’t confident it’s a done deal

Most professional coaches beg to differ. It is exactly how it works.

There is definitely smoke with Tucker in Baton Rouge circles (of which I am not in)...his candidacy shouldn't be ruled out.

this lightning in a bottle season
Tucker's lightning in a bottle is about to escape and electrocute him. Ohio State will drop 50 on his arse today. Allure gone. Sign your extension before you're embarrassed Mel.
