couple have got married through Zoom, even though they have never met each other in real life before.
North West student Ayse met Darrin online after joining a Facebook group in lockdown to find a pen pal.
The 26-year-old hoped that finding someone new to speak to would help with boredom during the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple initially planned to tie the knot when they finally got the chance to meet for the first time, but after reading about a new law passed that made international virtual wedding ceremonies legal in the state of Utah, US, they decided to go ahead straight away.
Ayse and Darrin tied the knot on 19th August, in an online ceremony officiated by the state of Utah, and are now officially husband and wife.
Despite travel restrictions being lifted to the US from the UK this week, Ayse has to wait for another visa to be accepted before she can book her flights.

"As we haven’t met in person yet we haven’t been able to have a physical relationship, which means that our marriage is based off of more than that.
"This hasn’t affected our relationship like it could do others, as it’s not something we see as the most important aspect, and we value other things, such as communication more.
"It’s not everyday you find your best friend and the love of your life in one, so I wasn't going to let her get away simply because we live in different countries."

She weighs aboot the same as an SEC OG. If he hits it, reverse cowgirl, he is going to see things he never wanted to see.

Tax advantage, cheaper insurance, better credit, etc. lots of advantages. I used to say I’d be fine with marrying someone and never meeting them, but I believe it’s a form of fraud.

I knew before clicking this thread this couple was a disgusting slob white woman and a black male.

It’s an odd psychological phenomenon that I don’t fully understand, but this is somewhat commonplace with men in prison. They would meet some woman and become a pen pal, and before you know it, they’d fall in love and want to get married (sometimes actually married) before they ever met or possibly just spent a little time in the visitation booth.
I don’t think there is intentional fraud or manipulation at play in most cases. No, it’s more like the woman gets to have a “real man” who is partially a fantasy in her own mind. She projects this fantasy man onto the real prisoner, who appreciates that someone sees them in such a positive light.
I’ve never followed up on those marriages after the guy got out of prison, but I suspect the real life a-hole prisoner eventually gets tired of the clingy woman with her greater than life expectations of him.

Weird? Yes. But they aren’t hurting anybody, so I say good luck to them.

Stereotypes are funny because they’re true.
