Seriously, Christmas decorations should not be allowed until after Thanksgiving

It's not the GOAT in my opinion, but the disrespect is real.

I'll keep fighting against the Christmas creep til the day I die. Thanksgiving deserves its time.

I don't think it's any disrespect to Thanksgiving. Christmas is a holiday that lends more toward decoration.

For disrespect, you would have to totally dismiss Thanksgiving.

I do it early because if I'm gonna go up and down the attic ten times and spend a day of putting decorations out, it better be for longer than a couple of weeks.

Thanksgiving is a great holiday with great orange and brown decorations. Why do you want to skip it and diminish it with the Christmas decor? Enjoy Thanksgiving and then enjoy Christmas.

Thanksgiving gets its time. It's just a day for family to get together and eat.

Christmas is an entire month of friends, family, coworkers, etc. all celebrating the spirit.

The older I get the more I dislike Thanksgiving. Every year we say we want to take a vacation at Thanksgiving, and every year that we don't we regret it.

Underrated drinking holiday too. It's probably my favorite.

I like Christmas lights so I don't mind when those go up early. But frick the radio and everyone else who starts Christmas in November.

Yes, an entire month. Not two months.

Thanksgiving can be boring if you always go with the traditional turkey, dressing, etc.

You can make it a bad arse meal if you break away from the norm and smoke a brisket or put a cook a Boston Butt, or whatever you like. Deer stew with fried backstrap. Whatever.

I've long gotten bored with turkey.

There are already houses around my neighbors with massive Christmas decorations. It makes me irrationally angry every time I see it

I agree. But we're going out of town all next week for Thanksgiving. I gotta get the lights up so I'm not behind when we get back. I won't turn them on until after thursday though, out of respect to the pilgrims and Indians of course.

This right here. I think most people really enjoy Thanksgiving and it's a nice prep for the holiday season but there's just more merriment surrounding Christmas. Plus kids get into Christmas more and rightfully so.

Thanksgiving to me means to slow down a little and give thanks for what we have whereas Christmas gives us a jolt of enjoyment, parties, child wonderment, etc..
