What do you think about big names saying Riley isnt happening?

To be fair, Feldman didn't say that Riley wasn't offered the 96/8. He just said Riley isn't leaving OU for LSU.

I don’t know about other peoples sources. But what I do know is Riley and Woodward had something under the table.

I’ve learned by now that if TD sources are reporting it, it isn’t happening.
I’m sure we’re trying, but I can’t help but feel like all this getting out is just a ploy for money.

Bruce Feldman saying it isn’t happening isn’t going to influence Oklahoma, Lincoln Riley, or LSU. That’s ridiculous.

It happens plenty of times in coaching. Important people on OUs side found out what is going on. They know Woodward’s offer. They try little tactics to guilt the coach or throw hints to the media so they run with it. Makes the coach feel like LSU is untrustworthy and makes him feel wanted from the other side. It also distracts the team and the coach definitely does not want that.
This should prove OU is not gonna match LSUs offer at this point in time. They are trying different ways.

That makes sense. LSU is not hiring a big name coach. Fisher, Riley, Kelly. Meyer, Saban, etc. are not going to take the job. The Tigers will have to settle for a lesser coach. Also, LSU has to compete with USC for a coach and that is tough. Time to go after a OC or DC that wants to be a head coach and quit daydreaming about coaches who don’t want to take the job. In the end maybe SW gets the same type of result that Alleva got.
