Does a 5-7 team get a bowl invite?
If so, where? Shreveport?

I think 6 wins is the requirement to be bowl eligible

who cares. This season is a disaster. I don't care if we go to some crappy bowl game, when 80 out of 130 teams go bowling. It's meaningless.
Yea, yea, yea, extra practices. But we don't even know who our coach will be, and probably won't until after bowl season. So these practices would be with the current staff.
Just end the misery after the A&M game.

If there aren't enough bowl eligible teams then they pick 5-7 teams based on APR (Academic Progress Rate, I think). Not sure how good ours is.

I still have hope the Tigers can still have a winning season. If we can have a nice victory over ULM that would give some needed experience for the guys stepping up and will build on giving them some confidence. Who is to know if these young men can beat aTm their last game. The way those guys played the last 2 weeks as a team says something. They gave Arky and Bama all they wanted and make a play or two with positive gains and catches would have make a hellofa difference.
As I say a 6-6 team is still possible and still watching one game at a time. To answer your question as good as I know how ...... 1. - 5-7 Record you do not get a bowl game unless there isn't enough 6 game winners to fill the Bowl Games. If LSU finishes 5-7 I'm sure they will be the first 5-7 team to be picked for an 8 game winner.

Occasionally if they don't have enough 6 win teams, but it is based on APR scores. Last I saw we were pretty far down the list.
