Wait until a few road games before judging the mens Basketball team

Haven't played a road game yet. They look good at home and look to be a 2nd half team. They are one big man injury away from being middle of the SEC. The future does look good and I am optimistic but lets let a few away games play out before calling them a 20+ game winner just yet.

So we aren't allowed to discuss what we saw in the first 3 games, or be excited that LSU won those games?

Lots of teams. One big man is great. See North Carolina, Duke etc....

We won't know just how good this team is until they hit conference play, but I think we've seen enough to say this is a 20 win team. Needing to stay healthy is a given. I'm already on record as saying I think this team will be better than the 2018-19 team, and it's not based on a knee jerk reaction, but simply evaluating the way the team plays so much better defensively, has quality depth, and knowing that Wade's teams typically improve drastically from this point in the year up to the start of conference play. So, in my opinion, after an impressive win over a quality Liberty team, I think they are ahead of the curve.
Offensively, we have very skilled big men who have shown good moves and soft touch. They will only get better. I don't think there will be as much need for sharp shooters from the outside, but our big guys have shown they can shoot, as well, and so if when guy has an off night, there should be enough help to offset that. Murray can fill it up, as well. So I feel very confident in this team.
And, anyway, what good is a prediction, if you wait until you know everything for a fact?

Huh?? I’d say it’s pretty clear that this team is most certainly different but in a good way than almost all other WW teams. It’s got just about everything you could want to make up a quality team that’s built for a long run into the post season.
The starting 5 as well as the bench would need to go cold for us to lose a game we shouldn’t and we could still win those types of games with defense, rebounding, steals and using the paint for offense. If or when they start to improve they’ll be tough to beat.
I’d like to see our PG improve on his drive points. He shows the ability to take it to the rim but doesn’t finish as much as I’d like to see him and I’m sure he and WW feel the same. When the shooters are hot and we have that ability to score in the paint, only the best will be able to keep up. They look good!

I think that's fair but I will say defense travels and this team gets after it on D.

Its basketball, they most certainly lose some games on the road! DUH!!

Name me one team in CBB that is not in this situation? One injury big man or not can derail any teams season.
All teams play better at home than on the road! But good teams take care of business at home. How much college BB do you watch? Not much Id bet because your statement screams "Im a novice, but I read something and Ill try to act like I know what Im talking about".
If you cant tell how good this team is, you might wanna stop posting about this year MBB team because your points could be copied and pasted for every team in the country.

We are 5 injuries away from losing our starting 5.

Really, we probably won't know until the end of January.

Maybe. Past history says LSU will win at least 20. But while the first three games have been very good, LSU has gotten off to good starts before, particularly on defense, only for it to be proven as the season went along they were really just a bad defensive team
in 19-20 they held their first 3 opponents to 32%, 41%, 39% shooting. They forced an average of 15 turnovers per game. And for a little bit of direct comparison, that team beat a Liberty team that went 30-4 that season. In that game LSU held Liberty to 57 points on 41% shooting. That LSU team also ended up being one of the worst defensive teams in the country among power conference programs.
This year they've held their first 3 opponents to 28%, 40%, 38%, shooting, while forcing (almost) 18 turnovers per game. Better? Yes. But, IMO, not enough to definitively say right now they are a good defensive team. The early season vs. overmatched opponents can be misleading....and often times it has been.
It is a good start so far...which is all you can ask for in the first 3 games. But we have a LONG way to go to see just how good this team is. Particularly in light of the fact the top 9 teams in the SEC have also started fairly strong.

I 100% hope you are right. But that was the best team (from a regular season perspective) LSU had in almost 40 years. Not only did they go 16-2 in SEC play, but a remarkable 9-0 on the ROAD in conf. play. It would be a VERY tough task to repeat that level of success.
