I took a picture with him on opening night then been wondering why I hadn’t seen him since. One day I think I figured out who he was when all the hype team came out for a half time contest.

Anyone have the old Hugo Hornet job description? The job was intense and required top physical condition, gymnastics like experience, and some other stuff but that was also when we had Super Hugo. I used to think of the person as an athlete in a costume but now we've reached "does not require athletic ability."

The job description sounds like they're just aiming to fill a cheap part time job.
You could tell the original Hugo was an actual professional and talented entertainer. I'd guess he stayed when they rebranded to Pierre based on the mannerisms. I think it was either the last full season before COVID or the shortened 2019-20 COVID season when it was obvious they changed the performer. The new guy was just awkward, makes me think they did it on the cheap. They probably switched that person out after one season or downgraded Pierre's duties to just the very basic since then so it wouldn't matter if an idiot were doing the job.
Now you don't even have a Pierre at all lol. The smaller inflatable Air Pierre was fun too, I guess that's not even on the table. Even the digital graphic Pierre that gave out flowers to kids on the big screen etc doesn't happen anymore, or any other digital stuff like that. I imagine anyone paid a decent wage for game day entertainment was let go. Now we just get audience members digging through a small bowl of candy corn to find a piece of chocolate and the announcer telling us we aren't cheering loud enough for it.
