Might not be a bad time to go after Saban

I don’t think it’s as crazy as some of you may believe. Chances are stupid low but I actually think he would entertain it. It would be a pipe dream but I mean why not shoot your shot. His name doesn’t get brought up often because for some reason it’s like “he’s off limits”. If you consider yourself as the best AD in the country you go attempt to get him. What’s the worst that could happen? You get told no and Alabama has to put out more money. It’s a win in my eyes.

How can you give up something that you’ve never attempted? What’s the negative in making an attempt? You tell me.

The answer is always no if you don't ask.
If Woodward is reportedly willing to pay a candidate like Jimbo or Riley $12M/year, then why not make Saban turn down $15-16M?
Would anyone really suggest Saban isn't worth the additional money?
Not saying he'd take it, but if you're a big game hunter, you start with the biggest.

How much are championships worth it to the school in revenue? A lot. Tell him $20M a year. Make him tell you no.

I said this after the AM loss and got roasted. If just one of the Gumps money men so much as make a peep to him about the lackluster play he's done.

That’s what I’m saying. Those mfers are crazy enough to think that.

I still don’t think it’s happening, but every day it smells a little more possible to me.

You would have to double Saban salary to make him consider ruining his legacy at Alabama by leaving for a hated rival.

Its the perfect time to go after Saban, and hope Scott gave it a shot.

Y'all are fricking crazy. Nick Saban is 70 years old and has won 6 national championships at Alabama. Why in the hell would he leave there at his age when he's already winning championships at least every 2-3 years. It doesn't make any sense. He's also about to hit that age where a lot of coaches start losing their edge. He's not there yet and will likely last longer than most just because of who he is, but he has no motivation to leave that place and can just go out as a legend. Why would he pass that up and bail at this point in his life?

Did you see him yesterday? Do you honestly believe, at this point in his life, he wants to start from scratch at a new program? He looks like he's not too far from retiring permanently to his lake house in Georgia.

With the chain of events that have happened so far this year, we should absolutely make him tell us no. Especially if we’re talking salaries north of what he’s already making.

I agree, I tell my son all the time don’t quit on anything especially if you didn’t try first. I’ve mentioned before I would call him or at least talk to his agent Sexton. If it’s a no move on at least you tried.

I don't see why not. Make him say no.

They know he will say no, and that's why they don't waste time asking. It's a pointless pursuit with no probable positive ending. Texas going after him I understood because he hadn't been at Alabama all that long at the time, but going after him now is pointless. It's not like he needs money, and Alabama would just match whatever he was offered anyway.

It's been Saban day for me , I've been saying this from day 1, he didn't leave us because he didn't like us, he wanted to be like Belichk, like the guy said at least make an offer... Doesn't look 70 on the sidelines does he
