Explain the mindset/ideology behind the Tim Pool type liberals?

Tim Pool, Glenn Greenwald, Naomi Wolf, Joe Rogan, even Bill Maher to some degree (but he is still more left than right).
All of these people supposedly vote for Democrats. Yet they can recognize their authoritarianism really well.
I don't get it? Don't they understand that the stuff they think they are liberal about, and support Democrats for, is all tied to things they hate about Democrats. Abortion, for example, is all about degrading the moral fabric of the culture, so you can turn the country towards Marxism. Its all in the playbook.

Pool voted for Trump. He has a video about it.
Greenwald lives in Brazil.
I think a few of them voted for the "lesser evil" last time and are regretting it now.
Rogan is, for sure.

They're basically your old school, Truman/JFK liberals. Pro New Deal, pro labor, pro opportunity.
The DNC is pro bad trade deals, pro forever wars, pro wokeism. Those are basically your modern day Rockefeller Republicans.

They want to seem smart while backing really stupid stuff.
It's a tough balancing act.
My theory on Maher is that he is staunchly anti-religion. He's starting to see the left become a cult/religion of its own that would be just as dangerous.

It's a process every free thinking liberal goes through before eventually becoming a libertarian and eventually a conservative......I've watched this process several times over my 63 years occur with people I know.

They are the few liberals left. Most of the left are fascists and commies these days.

liberals and socialist are one and the same, they worship power and that is all they care about
after hitting the ice berg they would even rig an election to be in charge of stacking the deck chairs on the titanic

The university/college indoctrination of the last generation was deep and severe in the ways of Marx.

Tim Pool is not a liberal. He is center right.

I watch pretty much all of Tim Pools stuff and agree with him on a lot but there are some things that really irk me about him.
1. He talks about how he loves the 2A, then says violence is never ok and you should never take up arms against the government.
2. He says he wants universal healthcare while he talks about govt corruption and incompetence
3. He wants to tax the rich then give it to said corrupt government so those rich people can't cause mischief despite the fact that they are in cahoots with the government anyway.

Pool is center-left. He’s socially liberal and fiscally moderate. He’s very anti-woke, however, very pro-second amendment, and takes the right’s side in the culture war.

These labels we assign to ourselves and others are pretty meaningless for free thinking individuals. Some of us lean left and my call ourselves liberals or lean right and call ourselves conservative.
Whatever you call yourself, if you are fighting the rise of authoritarianism then you are ok in my book.

See your problem is that you're so indoctrinated your "argument" has to start off with a strawman-boogeyman.
If you're looking for why moderate-liberals exist, I wouldn't start with one of the most foundational dividing points in the current political spectrum AND THEN try to tie it into Marxism aimlessly.

Right.. a lot of people.. liberal and conservative have nuanced opinions or dont tow their party line on abortion.

Greenwald is absolutely torching the corporate media in his twitter feed right now over Russiagate. There is a group of them, including Matt Taibbi, Jimmy Dore, Aaron Mate, etc., that all seem to run in the same circles. I consume more of their material more than any conservative other than maybe Bongino during the height of Russiagate.

I am curious what Maher is going to say tonight between the shite show for the Democrats that was Tuesday and the vaccine mandates. Honestly, Bill has to know at this point that Biden should resign, that he will not fire his unvaccinated employees, that Republicans are going to sweep in 2022 and 2024, and that Trump or DeSantis will be the next President. While this isn’t going to happen, can he just go ahead and endorse DeSantis on the show please, because this entire administration is a disaster and he can’t possibly do anything worse than this.
Tonight is going to be entertaining since he’s probably not going to bring up the Right except that they’re going to win and light into the Democrats for basically the entire show.

And Michael Eric Dyson is on the panel tonight. God I wish Maher was also having Shapiro on tonight to just do tag team gang bang like last time with Malcom Nance. Regardless I expect shite tons of fireworks between those two tonight.

Also remember, at least in Pool's case (I'm also starting to see this a bit with the Lotus Eaters.) these people do a bit of tap dancing around how they really feel to keep from getting strikes on YouTube.
