where does this board currently stand?

I think it’s Aranda. Was always Aranda and will be Aranda. I think Grimes stays at Baylor though. So watch out for Herman as the OC/Assistant HC.

I speak for myself and not the board but I'm far from alone.
My "camp" is the, "Dave Aranda is the most sound and logical choice that we wouldn't have to pull teeth to try and get here, and wouldn't have to constantly worry about his loyalty."
The NFL calling would be the biggest possible concern. Other than that, there are no obvious possible negatives to an Aranda hire.

When the O announcement happened, my first thought was LSU would target Jimbo.
I still think he’s the safest bet out there.

Count me into this camp
I don't hate the guy, in fact I like what he has done for ULL and think he has a bright future, but he isn't ready for a top P5 school, and he would be a worse coach than O IMO. It absolutely blows my mind that this board is hype about a sunbelt coach
