I felt like a different species next to Efton when I met him this summer. Dude is tall.

That’s the definite 8; but I believe to start the season that Mwani will be in the starting 5 at the 3.

Eason will rotate in with Days and Reid mostly, and there will be times that all 3 are on the court at the same time; but Eason won’t primarily be a starter. He will play starter minutes, and that’s all that really matters.

If Shareef can get healthy and stay healthy, then he probably replaces Fudge’s minutes.

Where's Justice Williams?

Been rehabbing and injury; hasn’t even been practicing.

Wade reiterated yesterday that they are comfortable with the 3 guard rotation they have and that the plan is still to try and redshirt Williams, which is what they promised he and his family in the recruitment process. But Wade threw in that he could play if needed later in the season and that Williams would be more than willing to if needed.

Thanks, I was unaware of any of that. I thought Williams was eager to play this year, if at all possible, otherwise I don't know why he reclassified.

I don't believe this.

Wade has a tendency to go too small so let’s hope he doesn’t do that with Reid starting on the bench. I’m crossing my fingers but it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s

Pinson
Murray
Wilkerson
Eason
Days

Yea I don’t either. Eason is a starter. Reid prob does not if Wilkinson does. Not Eason

We might need him if injuries force our hand in the backcourt.

Well, yeah, that’s a given.

Wade said they are happy with the rotation; but that they can’t withstand another guard injury after losing Miller.

Okay. And that’s your prerogative. But I don’t see you making any predictions or reasons for it.

yeah. We ran a 6 man rotation 4-5 years ago. These are college kids so they can play 38 minutes a game if in the correct shape.

I see a 9 man rotation with O'Neal. Can't not see him playing if healthy. Fudge will play too.

Odd men out, Eziwero, Colbert, and Williams.

Haven't seen Reid play yet, but i don't count on him being more than a 8-10 ppg scorer this year. Anything more will be gravy to me.

I think Eason plays a big role scoring and rebounding for this team.

My biggest concern is guard depth. Don't like going into a season with only 3 true guards. Sounds like they want to RS Justice W., but I suspect he will have to contribute at some point. Injuries happen.

I agree that will be the 8. But also agree with TigerLaw that Wilkinson will "start" as a tweener. CWW has a tendency to "go small to start" and he does this for a number of reasons. Chief among them as with Emmitt Williams a couple seasons ago, you bring a guy like Eason off the bench as well as save him from early foul trouble. The Miller injury really hurts, this was an SEC regular season champion contender/Sweet 16 team. Now my best guess is a Round of 32 team and still in the Top 4 of the SEC. But anything can happen, need to see how well Murray adjusts to high level defense and if he can be a reliable consistent scorer in his first year.

Pinson
Murray
Days
Wilkinson
Reid

Bench
Gaines
Eason
Fudge

Love this approach for all parties involved. From Bigby-Williams, to Hyatt, Fudge and now Williams it works well for LSU and the players to sit one and practice with the team.

Reid is considered a one year guy....

But you think he’s coming off the bench????
