is he getting tired of the differences between CFL and NFL? If he shows any interest in the change then I think Scott should give him an in depth interview for any consideration.

Plenty posters “in the know” will pass along this information to Scott.

By Jobe, you've cracked the case. Bravo!
I mean....not a single person has yet thought of such a grand idea.

Urban might listen to Woodward until Scott explained to him that he would have to coach against Nick Saban every year.

End of interview.

Yet people on here claim they would pass on Saban, because he is old and on the down trend. So which is it? I don’t see him retiring anytime soon. Probably another 8 years at least. I would gladly take even 5 years of Saban.

Also, where does this Urban is afraid of Saban narrative come from? I could be wrong, but I believe Urban is 2-2 vs Saban? Beat him in 08 and 14?

does he prefer the larger field and multiple players in motion?

I don’t discern that he has actually been happy anywhere.

Is Urban the most Teflon coach ever?

- team full of murderers, thugs, thieves, and rapists at Florida, no consequences
- fakes heart issues and lands a cush job at ESPN, bolts for OSU
- runs a scummy OSU program, fakes heart issues and leaves
- embarrasses himself in Jax and gets caught giving the stink finger to a coed, media forgets about it in 24 hours

How the frick does he keep getting away with shite?

And a 3x national champion.

Do I like Urban Meyer the person (based upon his public persona)? Not particularly. But I'm not looking for LSU to hire my new best friend. I want to see then hire a guy that is going to have the program competing for national championships on a consistent basis. There is not 100% certainly that ANY of the potential next new coach will do that. But if past history is the best predictor of future results, then Meyer is as sure a bet as anyone.

If someone told you the next HC that comes in will only stay for 6 years, but in that 6 years he is going to get you to the playoffs 3 times and win two national championships, you wouldn't take it?

Yeah, because CUM certainly doesn't have a history of making Saban his bitch. Oh wait. He doesn't give 2 shits if he has to play against Saban every year. He'd probably welcome it since he has success against his defenses.

CUM should be the coach LSU makes a run for before anyone. Who cares about him getting stink finger on the side.

You get it my friend. At the end of the day, it’s all that matters in a coach. Win win win. The heck with whatever you or anybody thinks about a coach personally because I’m not their “friend”. They get paid to win, end of story.

Sooo...

Anyway Chicken can just go ahead and shut down this board? If I was a fan school elsewhere and got exposed to this board once, I'd make it a point to come back daily for laughs

You have to be typing in your sleep. Any HS coach would have a better chance to get the LSU job than Meyer, after his stinky finger video.
