Their duck and andouille gumbo is probably the best restaurant gumbo in whatever state you live in
Probably the best premade bagged gumbo that Sysco can produce

I'm addicted to their fried pickles. Those things are so good.
Also try the mozzarella logs too. They're awesome.

The quality of that place has gone up significantly over the years. It’s solid bar food. Certainly better than Hooters, BWW, Applebee’s, Chili’s.

You know what else is premade, prepackaged and pretty fricking good? Cajun Power Spaghetti sauce. And no one is being snarky about it.
Who cares if it’s not made from scratch with farm to table ingredients? It’s not that type of restaurant and doesn’t Claim to be. It’s just solid bar food with a good sports bar atmosphere. Even if it’s loud.
And, horror of horrors, they have a decent cup of gumbo apparently.

It's good for what it is...sports bar food...and a good beer selection...along with coeds

Don't make Walk-On's out to be anything more than exactly what they're trying to be, a sports bar that serves pretty decent food, and they're pretty good at it.

It's just ok. Don't wait in a line for it.

As mentioned, Mozzarella logs and Devils on Horseback are fantastic.
Everything that I have ordered (probably 15-20 visits) has been good.

What town?
I used to dislike Walk Ons but they worked pretty hard to improve their menu and succeeded. Good salads and bar food.
Also I got old

Visited my son while he was still at UL a few years ago and ate at the one in Laffy. It was terrible. Just got one here in Katy, TX and we like it. Good fried seafood. Simple enough but surprising how many Texas restaurants screw this up. Burger is solid as well. As others have said, top tier bar food and great place to watch a game. Bonus for me is I am in Aggie land and I feel like all the Louisiana stuff irks the sheit out of them.

We just got this restaurant. I’m not going to lie it looks like Applebee’s. It’s jam packed. Is it good for lunch?
It is a sport's bar with a little above average sports bar food. It is much better than an applebees. Very good lunch spot. Not somewhere I'd wait if there is a wait for a table, but I enjoy going.
Burgers are solid, buffalo chicken sandwich or the buffalo bacon wrap are good. Cajundilla was good, as was the gumbo.

I’ve heard the one on Corporate has gone downhill really bad. If you’re going to get Walk On’s the Burbank location is the better option, where you won’t have to deal with abysmal takeout and waitstaff. Hell, the Management of the Corporate location even argues with customer's.

What became of their former Coursey location? Is the building still vacant?

It is definitely a game changer! With 3 little ones in the house, great way to whip up something quick. I add mushrooms to mine with a little slap ya momma
