Our Summer Credit Recovery program is not designed in the same manner as traditional Summer School programs, which can be less stringent academically in terms of replacing failing grades. Partially due to our long-standing interpretation of the academic eligibility rule, we adopted Credit Recovery over Summer School a number of years ago. If we used the traditional Summer School model combined with the LHSAA’s interpretation of the academic eligibility rule, both of these student-athletes would be academically eligible.
I'm not understanding this.
Is he saying if they would have used Summer School rules instead of Credit Recovery rules, then the students would be eligible? Is that what they did originally and that's why this is now a problem?
Besides... summer school credits should not be allowed to be used. Summer school is a joke. Credit recovery is also a joke.

apparently there was a rule change to how summer school credits applied to eligibility
If there was a rule change, than it is on BM to keep abreast of the rules.......
If not the LHSAA is full of shite as usual.
I'm assuming somebody at BM screwed up.
BTW: BM'85

BM has an exceptional squad this year that can go toe to toe with Catholic.

If Wisniewski is still the AD I doubt he messed something like this up. Sounds to me like LHSAA done goofed and trying to cover their asses

Wonder when they’ll announce what Catholic did to lose titles….. they won’t.
The Lhsaa didn’t release what bro mart did
Bro mart released it

it also hurts the team that finishes as the #6 seed, your reward is the #1 team in the state

How did BM only beat EA 8-7?

They edged Jesuit in the 3rd overtime
I guess the Jays are now technically undefeated?
I think Jesuit would like another shot at them in the playoffs

you know the answer to this question.

They used grades in Religion class towards GPA and used GPA to determine eligibility. It wasn't an attempt to cheat as we had to take Religion class at BM bc it's a Catholic School and it was always part of our GPA but the LHSAA doesn't allow you to add Religion to GPA for eligibility.

My son plays football for St Stanislaus over here in MS…if they’re ineligible by LHSAA, maybe they could come play for us (surely MS is more relaxed). Both schools run by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart…right?
We could really use some help out on the field.

No shite, and why should Spanish count more than religion?

The LHSAA makes a visit to every LHSAA school to check on paperwork

It’s seems the glaring issue here is they have checked BMs paper work every year and have never said anything. BM changed nothing, hid nothing, and now randomly the LHSAA says they are doing something wrong? That doesn’t pass the smell test

Sounds like someone knew BM was doing it wrong and contacted the LHSAA and told them what to look for.

maybe no other players were close to that thresh hold in the past when they were checked.
