And he's unable to mask it.

Not good for the recruiting and Program nor for building to 2022.

Coach O's going home with 17 million reasons to be happy. With that kind of money you can retire well anywhere.

He can still feel slighted though and knowing his personality I bet he does

Coach O appears to be made of gristle and old baseball gloves.

I wouldn’t expect much over the next 4 games. I don’t really see the level of professionalism on his part that would prevent him from just mailing it in. Particularly when the $17 mill is already in the bag.

Especially in Tuscaloosa. That’s going to be disgusting.

Awesome 18th post. I particularly love how you backed up your assertion with examples and facts. Good stuff!

Almost all fired coaches feel slighted, so that wouldn't be unique to O. He probably feels LSU moved fast considering he just had a 15-0 title less than two years ago, but he made terrible hires and there is no easy fix to that short of firing the person who made those mistakes.

But he said he knew LSU hadn't been meeting expectations and he said he didn't have the answers, so he has been honest in that aspect. Somebody who is completely bitter won't even admit that.

To me Coach Zereaux has no "poker face." He truly looked ashamed and knew he is the only one to blame for his failure to stay focused on the job. He knows he had a meltdown. I don't hate the man but he needs to be gone. He knows it.

Why should he be bitter? When he was the one that couldnt recruit good coaches, build depth on the Oline and the roster as a whole, recruit guys that would stay, get better players in the portal etc.. the list goes on and on. Nobody to blame but himself for where he is today. To be honest he should not be getting 17 million where he is leaving the program.

Bitter. Well the next time I run into Ed I'm going to hug it out with him. Honestly he has $17M reasons not to be bitter. Not many coaches get a natty.

He’s not bitter he seems pretty content with where he is. His future has been decided.

So is Pirate King, TigerRee and all the other members of the Ogre entourage. I keep hoping it’s like a hurricane passing through, and that all that debris will be carried off when O leaves.

You’d be bitter too if they fired your butt, and waited four years before you could get all your money.

Oh wait.,,...
