At that price I’d expect Saban/Tomlin, but I guess I’d be ok with it. Better get a DC at the top of his game.

Doesn't deserve it TBH. Why is worth more than Saban? Because he gets to the playoff coming out of a weak Big 12 every year ans then gets arse blasted in the playoff?

They would be extremely retarded to pay Riley that kind of money. That is equivalent to alleva hiring a position coach as HC.

No to Tomlin. Very good nfl coach, a complete wildcard for college.

Dude someone needs to pull Woodward back from the ledge. Saban makes $8.7 million a year.

It is retarded. That's why it's untrue.

You pay on potential. I am not as involved in this hiring as I was for the O hire.

If this were true, I’d figure these threads would be getting zapped left and right, but, TBL is legit.

If it's true and Riley don't accept then that is even more retarded than LSU offering that much.

If he wins games, and I don’t have to pay anything… I don’t care if they pay him 27 million a year.

Burrow threw more TDs against Riley in 1st half of Playoff game than Riley had NFL job targets.

Risk / return for that price, nope. Others make better sense at that price point.

If that’s what it takes to get him. By the end of that contract it will be a bargain. Look at Jimbo, he got insane money to come to aTm and before he got a new deal, the money was warranted. If we want the best coaches, we have to pay the big money. Scott is not going to cheap out on the most important hire of his career.

The number of guaranteed years matters much more than the amount per year. I don’t think that’s an insane amount if we only guarantee a few years.
