Had not been to New Orleans since May, recently the modified phase 3 guidelines require proof of at least 1 CoVID vaccination or a negative PCR within 72 hours to access most businesses, restaurants, indoor sports facilities…

Now that the Delta wave is subsiding, how strict are the enforcements?

People should be more worried about being shot to death in broad daylight and falling in New Orleans street poo, than Destroya Covid restrictions.

Varies from place to place. Haven't had anywhere card me to verify my vaccine card, wouldn't doubt someone will . Be ready to wear a mask and then feel the room as to whether you need it or not.

I have mine vaccination card (fully vax’ed), but my 13 year old had CoVID and has not been vaccinated because natural immunity. According to the guidelines, the rules applied to anyone over 12 years old (which is stupid).

Anyway, just wanted to see what the general status in New Orleans because we have to be there in December.

I completely agree, CoVID should not be an issue anymore unless you have pre-existing medical conditions or >60 years old… that what the vaccines are for. I have no problems with mask wearing.

But in all seriousness, I just need to know if I can take my 13 year old kid who is unvaccinated (but had CoVID and recovered) to New Orleans and still able to check into a hotel, eat at restaurants, and allow to play in her volleyball at the convention center. Or does she need to get a PCR test 72 hours before.

I'd probably do the PCR test to be safe. The tournament rules should cover if the kids need to be vaccinated or not.

Unless you live there, why go to N.O?
You're just encouraging their stupid fricking behavior.

frick N.O. and their restrictions.

Just say your kid is under 13. They won’t care.

I don’t even know what the restrictions are here right now. I stopped caring around the start of 2021. You have to show your vax card to get into some places. That’s all I got

Please accept our deepest condolences. We live just across the river and won't visit that shithole on a bet.

Made an old lady walk back to her car the other night to get her vax card at a wedding.

Also were prepared to not let my guest in. We snuck her in through the back.

I’ve been asked to show my vaccine card exactly twice. Once at the Superdome, and once at Lakeview Pearl of all places.

Old school restaurants never cared. But now even the hipstery places DGAF.
