Rabalais is now the latest to write an article about Ed and should he get another shot due to injuries.

was also beneficial for O that Miles got another chance in 2016. You know damn well O had DP set wheels in motion once they lost to Wisconsin if not before.
I would say more than beneficial, it had to happen that way for O to even have a shot. Had Miles not been retained following that 2015, not only would O never have gotten the LSU job, he would never have gotten another Power 5 HC job. He had just applied to Syracuse and didn't even come close to getting that one.
And some (including me) argued what he did as an interim coach did not warrant serious consideration for the job, but many did think so and our AD was lazy and lacking in the qualities that would help sway and attract a better candidate.

The chance for a turn around was this year. He makes crappy hires 2 seasons in a row. Yet they want to give him a chance.
What's with these clowns

Fats Rabalais already ruined the first Miles firing by rallying the Facebook moms before the last game.

1000% not true.
Only reason they're defending O is:
1) They're morons
2) They and O are best buddies. They won't say anything negative about him.

He hired Brady
So the AD gets no credit but gets bashed when the OC doesn’t work out and the coach gets the glory but no accountability?
He didn’t find Brady. That was Ensminger.

He found Burrow in portal and it wasn't a slam dunk he was coming to LSU
It’s a good thing that Bill Bausch wasn’t on staff because we know he had absolutely nothing to do with LSU landing Burrow. Go rewrite the narrative.

he deserved a pass last year with COVID
Why does he and nobody else does? Saying well we lost this and that, but ignoring the player defection and the “opt outs“ because all the shite show that was last summer when he was chasing tail IS absolutely wrong. He fricked up last summer. There was no preparation, the teams didn’t give a shite all the way around.

I will be remembering everyone's name who are currently defending O. You all should too. frick them

O's gimme turnaround season with yet more newly hired marginal staff is 2021 after the 2020 shite show in which he got a free pass
2021 is his free pass after what happened last year. Now they want him to have a 3rd shot.
But lets give credit where due. O did get Burrow to come to LSU and he did have the forsight to bring in Sean Payton for a clinic and listen to E to hire Brady. All those movies resulted in 2019. He should get credit for that but not absolution for all future sins because of that.

Bobby Hebert has forgotten more about football than anyone that posts on this board has ever learned.

Coach O and Bobby H are both South Lafourche High School guys....both great guys!...however, the AD will be objective and professional in his approach with Coach O>

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah no...
Dude knows plays, routes... he don’t know shite about the ins and outs of LSU footbal.
And he does sound dumb as a rock on radio. He was one of the biggest reasons I quit listening to WWL..

also said Miles was given the opportunity to turn things around and that Ed should be given that opportunity.

That was a mistake, he didn’t turn it around. Unfortunately for Ed we need to learn from our mistakes
Ed was given time to turn it around... He finished 5-5 a year after winning the national title.
All off season he talked about how they have gotten better. They went to get Peetz to reproduce Joe Brady Offense. The defense is better.... yada yada yada
2021 was his chance to turn it around and he has failed.

No one will ever convince me Bobby Hebert didn’t throw the Wildcard game against the Eagles in 92-93. He can EABOD. I wouldn’t believe a word he says.

Scott Woodward is a nice, classy guy, but something tells me this comment is going to make him go off the top rope on Ed and his fig piece of shite peons and fire him with cause and pay out $0 in buyout money

Just because a guy has a lot of experience in football (or any endeavor) doesn't necessarily mean they're extremely knowledgable about it or any good at it.
Hell, I know a lot of people in my field who simply aren't good at what they do. But they've been in the business 30 years.
I mean, Curley Hallman had been a coach for 17 years when LSU hired him. And he probably knew a lot about football.
But that doesn't make him good at what he does.
