What I foresee happening is Kiffin hiring him on the Rebels staff in some role, primarily recruiting, and him being a thorn in our sides flipping recruits.

I don't see that happening...at all

1. I doubt Ole Miss wants him back in their program even though he did have success at LSU. How do you think the boosters/fanbase here would react if the next HC at LSU hired Les or Pelini to join the staff?

2. At 60 years old, Ed doesn't want to take a demotion. At least not initially. After USC passed on him he sat out waiting for a job in management (i.e. HC job). He only returned to being a DL coach at LSU once it became clear that wasn't going to happen. He may have tanked the program at LSU over the last 2 years, but he still has a NC to his name. That may be enough to entice another school, with MUCH lower expectations than LSU, to give him a shot. 7-5 gets you fired at LSU. 7-5 at a place like, say, Arizona, gets you a contract extension.

That doesn't sound like him at all, to be honest.

Do you even new information bro?

Anything new pertaining to Title IX will look like LSU withheld information from the Husch-Blackwell report. That's Krakatoa.

Ed will get however much money is necessary for him to walk away saying nice things about the university and nothing at all about the boosters.

SW and O will reach an agreed upon number. He is happy to walk away a millionaire knowing he coached the greatest season ever. Some people simply want to get there. Others want to remain there and even own it. O satisfied with just getting there.

To CLarify -

Coach O's salary is $6 mill per year through the end of 2025.

$6mill per year is $500k per month.

His contract runs through the end of 2025... which is 4 more years + 2 months.

That means he has $25 mill left on his contract.

Per the terms in his contract, LSU would owe him 70% of the remaining value / money if they fire him without cause.

70% of $25 million is $17.5 million dollars.

His buyout as of now is about $17.5 million.

I'm not sure "how long" or over how many years LSU would have to pay that amount.

They have dirt on him that hasn't been revealed yet with all the allegations on the investigations. He's gone and he will settle for a lower buyout if he wants to preserve whatever reputation he has left.

Ed screwed up his recruiting career with the off the field antics. Parents of recruits will see that he's a con man.
Coaches will see him as poison.

He's high school material now.

That’s technically not true. If they had documentation reflecting talks about behavior they could leverage it in conduct failures after remediations.

no its not gonna be a les miles thing where he hangs around campus until he gets another job.

if the rumors are true they will fire him with cause and walk away clean while ed goes away mad mumbling to himself.

if the rumors are false then they will reach an agreement for him to walk away, my guess is near or around half of what his contract says he should get.

either way, ed isnt going to be seen or heard from again as far as him being anywhere around here

When I see posts like OP's, I know they haven't done any reading or perusing of this site. Nor have they listened to any radio broadcasts or watched any local sports. This topic has been covered ad nauseum.

Do a little research.

You foreseeing abilities are wrong. Also, that figure of 20 mil is wrong as well. A settlement will take place so that both sided are satisfied. LSU will get the better end of the deal.

What’s going to break the camels back?

It has to be something other than losing football games

He is going to get paid every cent until he is ready to take another job, or some new shite comes up

the final straw being telling a TD poster he is going to put him in a fishing hole

No, the final straw up to today was a stunt he pulled 15 mins before Kentucky kickoff where he berated LSU operational staff by smashing chairs in their general direction, and scaring the ever loving shite out of them for not putting together a strong enough hype video for his players in the pre-game speech.
